I don’t think so. Boehner has caved many times already and he still got elected to the speakership. How many times have I pondered ‘is THIS the time the Republicans will show some backbone’ and each time I am disappointed.

Why must Republicans always play defense? Seemingly on the wrong side of any argument? (snip)The pending sequester cuts have the President and his minions, like a flock of Chicken Littles, running to and fro, spinning tales of planes falling out of the sky. (snip) For some reason - whether they’re too polite, too incredulous or just too inept - I barely hear a peep from the loyal opposition. On Monday, an Illinois middle schooler was told that his U.S. Marines T-Shirt was "inappropriate" to wear in school and that if he didn´t take the shirt off, cover it up, or turn it inside out he´d be suspended. The shirt Middle schooler Michael McIntyre, 13, wore to school featured a pair of crossed M16 rifles beneath the word "Marines." The boy´s father, Dan McIntyre, feels that the teacher objected to the depiction of the rifles and that is what sparked her demand that the boy take off the shirt.

In 2012 the federal government spent $3.538 trillion. If nothing is done and the Sequester kicks in, in 2013 the federal government will spend $3.553… yes, that’s right, $15 billion more! Somehow, President Obama is trying to suggest that if the country does not figure out how to dodge this $44 billion Sequester bullet, the foundations of our society are going to come crumbling down upon our shoulders. (The total 2013 “cut” includes the aforementioned $44 billion plus $41 billion cut in future years but attributed to 2013.)
That simply makes no sense.

Chicago´s top cop is a shockingly ignorant man. Apparently what he knows of American history, the law, and the U.S. Constitution can be held in a thimble. This became glaringly obvious in a radio interview he gave to WLS Radio´s political reporter Bill Cameron.
