With Barack & Michelle Obama sitting by, taking it manfully: “PC is dangerous,” he says, “it muffles people. It puts a muzzle on them and at the same time keeps people from discussing important issues while the fabric of this society is being changed…we need to start talking about things…” And talk he does. What a contrast, what a choice. Ben Carson for President!

This should be dominating national news. No, he’s not Michael Jackson nor Whitney Houston; but his name should be etched onto the lips and engraved upon the hearts of every person in America along with the words, “Thank you”.

“The book ‘The Price of Politics,’ by Washington Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward, makes it clear the idea for the draconian spending cuts originated in the White House – and not in Congress

...And they targeted the military specifically:

"WOODWARD: “Well, it could work, Lew and Nabors explained. What would the impact be? They would design it so that half the threatened cuts would be from the Defense Department. ‘I like that,’ Reid said. ‘That’s good.’”"

This fiscal cliff- this sequestration- is something Obama wanted and Obama signed into law. The GOP must remind people of it.

Let it happen.

As Nancy Pelosi appeared on Fox News Sunday with host Chris Wallace, she didn´t seem to know the difference between the First Amendment and the Second Amendment. During her February 10 segment, Pelosi premised her conversation by pointing out that Japan has, "the most violent games and the rest and the lowest mortality from guns." This, Pelosi imagined, was because Japan "might have good gun laws."

What follows is quite revealing, made all the more revealing in that ABC News, normally not much more than an echo chamber for this administration, is reporting it: Three years after the White House arranged a hero´s welcome at the State of the Union address for the Fort Hood police sergeant and her partner who stopped the deadly shooting there, Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made...

Our political partisanship has become so predictable that the response to the official response to the speech that Big Guy won’t deliver until tonight is already on the wires:(snip)A pre-buttal? Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? What ASSet accumulation plan has she presented to earn that privilege? I’m not saying she doesn’t have the goods to be considered a future contender(snip)And with those cankles,(snip)I rest my case. Don’t feel bad if you don’t have time to listen to the SOTU speech tonight; I’ve already heard it and it’s a repeat...

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all with the Sandy Hook murders of a classroom full of children, America experiences another new low: A man named Christopher Dorner murders (as of this writing) three innocent people in order to air personal grievances. And his grievances are given serious attention by the national media, not to mention left-wing websites.

Why is this man laughing? North Korea tests another nuke but the President in his SOTU address will focus only on his campaign issues that revolve around trying to destroy the Republican Party and transforming the nation in his own image. National security and foreign policy will likely receive only the usual empty rhetoric this President is oh so good at delivering.

There´s lots to read about today´s huge announcement but there´s little I´ve read that is as expressive and beautiful as what Calah Alexander has written: Pope Benedict is the only Pope I’ve ever known. Coming from a Protestant background, “in persona Christi” is an entirely foreign and much-despised concept. Who needs someone to be Christ for us when we have Christ in our hearts and the Holy Spirit to guide us? Well, I did...

By now the assumption is that you´ve seen this picture. Someone captured this stupendous thing on the evening of the same day the Pope announced his pending resignation and it´s making its way across the globe even as I write this. The reaction of course is predictable. Some are calling it fake though I don´t think to this point there´s been any evidence of that. Others are calling it a sign of God´s wrath on the Church, likely for her refusal to bow to the culture´s ´modernity´, a flash of lightning bidding good riddance to the Pope...

DC Comics — a company whose name is a reminder that its earliest product was meant to bring a smile to its customers’ lips — announced on Friday that it will be releasing two new series. Both focus on the plight of the 99 percent.
