Seven minutes of “f**king humiliation” is how one CNN staffer described the morning faux pas the “most trusted name in news” made when it reported that Chief Justice John Roberts overturned Obamacare’s mandate this morning.

Obama specifically said (yes in his own voice) that Obamacare is not a tax when he sold this faux healthcare bill to the American people.

Marc Barnes, aka Bad Catholic, is working hard to bring sexy back:
Why all the work?
Well, because we’re 21st century kids. And as such, we’ve had delivered to us a world with sky-high rates of divorce, abortion, and STDs; a world bored with sex and bored with romance; a world in which more and more people are turning to pornography to find sexual satisfaction; a world in which 1 in 5 women report being sexual assaulted, and the human body — the sexiest thing in the universe — is used to sell cars.
After extremely little consideration, we decided...

History repeats itself. This story has many echoes that resonate through the country today. Barack Obama has done for the United States what he did for Grove Parc. The more things hope and change, the more they stay the same.
"CHICAGO – The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can’t afford to live anywhere else."

Going into the Supreme Court decision yesterday, a lot of conservatives seemed to be extremely confident that the court would strike down Obamacare or, at a minimum, would at least kill the individual mandate. I wasn’t so sure.

Yesterday's SCOTUS travesty confirmed Obama as a liar on the true nature of the mandate. The decision said the mandate was a tax, and therefore constitutional. Well, then, what does that make the President? Watch this clip of his interview with George Stephanopoulos and you decide.

It does not happen very often, but here is the list of Democrats who voted for the contempt citation against AG Eric Holder doing what is right and not what is simply politically expedient. At least for today they can look at themselves in the mirror without having to turn away.

The Supreme Court's shocking decision to uphold most of ObamaCare Thursday elated its proponents, disheartened its enemies and may have finally taught media legal observers to never again draw conclusions from justices' questions in oral arguments. But one other thing it did for sure is thrust Obama's whole idea of inserting government deeper and deeper into the most intimate parts of Americans' daily lives and deaths smack dab back into the political arena. There, in the next 130 days, the nation will hear a different set of oral arguments -- on the stump -- until voters issue their collective final

Shanghai, China
There is a remarkable amount of interest in China about Israel and Jews, as I discovered during a trip to China sponsored by SIGNAL, the Sino-Israel Global Network and Academic Leadership.
The most obvious reason is that the Chinese--one important official called it the "little superpower--perceive that Israel in particular and the Jewish people in general have been success stories. Ten or twenty years ago this would have been less unique in the world. But now, sad to say, it stands out more because the United States and Europe, perhaps only temporarily, are not working very well.
Of course, on a

Republicans in 2012 have been handed a gift: the biggest tax hike in our history and the assured promise of millions losing the healthcare benefits and choices offered by their employers. Remember how Obama assured the middle class, “No new taxes for anyone under 250K?” No need to read his lips. The Big Lie is a deafening scream across the land now. Add to that the newly legal landmark line drawn between the public and the intrusive Commerce Clause, and there is ample cause to hope. Come November, yesterday’s initial disappointment may even be cause for celebration.

Professor Jacobson of Legal Insurrection isn't buying this notion that Chief Robert's decision to weigh in with the liberals on the court was part of some crafty long term strategy:
Some well-meaning people are peddling the notion that today’s Obamacare decision was a long term victory, that we lost the battle but won the war, that there was some master plan by Chief Justice Roberts to gut the expansion of Commerce Clause power under the fig leaf of a majority ruling upholding the mandate under Congress’s taxing power...

I was driving along in the car and, suddenly, the phrase “Roe v. Wade” popped into my head. In 1973, the Supreme Court waded into what should have been a state-by-state legislative matter, and created the most vicious 39 year fight in America since the Civil War. One side found the decision completely invalid, while the other side became so invested in its validity that it almost became a one-issue party — and, moreover, a one-issue party that became ever more extreme in its defense of its victory. By parsing the decision as he did, Justice Roberts prevented another American

Shocking right? I mean the there is no MSM bias right?
Imagine if this had happened during Bush’s tenure….the media ran non-stop stories about the desk jockey at the CIA getting outed but the Attorney General of the United States being held in criminal and civil contempt? Yawn.

I’ve now had the chance to digest myriad analyses of the Roberts decision on ObamaCare. I think I can sum up the various conclusions that liberal and conservative pundits have reached. Here goes:
The decision is a victory for Obama and the Democrats because it keeps ObamaCare on the books. However, it’s a victory for Mitt Romney and the GOP because it reminds Americans that Democrats like to tax them. The only problem with the latter view is that Americans aren’t paying attention to things like ObamaCare and taxes and these credulous citizens will just role with whichever side looks victorious,

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock this morning, the Supreme Court issued its opinion on ObamaCare today, with Justices Alito, Scalia, Thomas, and even swing-vote Kennedy voting to overturn the law as unconstitutional, but Chief Justice Roberts joined the liberal wing of the court in voting to uphold it.

Here’s a brilliant excerpt from David French at The Corner.
All that changed in the late evening hours of November 22, 2007, in a moment of blinding clarity while sitting in the back of a Chinook helicopter flying over Diyala, Iraq. As I looked past the door gunner to see fires burning in the distance and the arc of tracer fire in the air, I keenly realized that I was, quite simply, nobody. My helicopter could go down, my Humvee could explode, and General Petraeus wouldn’t call off the surge. Taps would play, the flags in Columbia would fly at half
