The media and some morons in Congress want you to believe that our kids are dying exponentially on our nation’s farms. These places are death traps and need to be regulated. No kid should have to work where death is certain and acceptable.

Reid Maki, director of social responsibility and fair labor standards for the National Consumers League, a non-profit economic and social-justice advocacy group, doesn’t believe that farmers have the best interests of kids in mind when working their trade. According to the USA Today article, she thinks we simply need more “firm regulations.” This is the fix for all

"I will transmit this information to Vladimir." Remember that infamous quote from March's whispered confab between now former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev and still former state senator Barack Obama? It sounds like a perfect T-shirt quote. But, alas, it was real. The alumnus of the Chicago political machine and the go-fer for former Russian spy chief Vladimir Putin were caught on an open microphone in Seoul.

A new Twitter-based fundraising tool debuts today and the new service already has the two biggest names in the Politics biz signed up as clients: Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Chirpify begins at the top of the heap client-wise as it not only has teams Obama and Romney signed up as clients but it also has some 25 House and Senate candidates.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn decried the devolution of culture that resulted in injustice being protected by law rather than being restrained by it. He had seen the horrendous results of such devolution in the Soviet Union but he knew it was not merely Communism that created such evils but secularism itself with its headstrong rebellion against the ancient boundaries...

I've long complained that the National Association of Evangelicals is way out of touch with most of the churches who give them money. Now the NAE has endorsed Barack Obama's decision to leave deliberately unenforced national law regarding illegal immigration...But then, the NAE's endorsement of this lawlessness is just the organization's latest goofy bow to "progressive" political-correctness.

I’m writing this at the three year seven-month date from my quadruple bypass.[snip)It was five days before the 2008 presidential election.[snip) Lessons Learned:[snip)Buy lots of guns and ammo and get a concealed carry license. (Alright, I’ll admit this might have been due to the Democrat/Obama landslide of 2008, but it DID occur after my bypass, so I really can’t be sure…what the hell…It made me feel better)

Remember the fun the MSM had with Republican VP Dan Quayle in a school room holding up a mis-spelled word, without mentioning that the class teacher was the one who'd written out the word incorrectly? Or how they made Republican President George H.W. Bush look stupid at a grocery store photo op making conversation with a checkout clerk about how the scanner worked? The repetitive media meme for Republicans is 'out of touch.' Well, this may be the best/worst one yet

Five years ago, Linda moved from Paris to Canada and then to the Israeli port city of Ashdod. Only a week ago, she, her husband and their two sons faced a hail of rockets from the Gaza Strip. Nevertheless, Linda, who doesn't want to be identified by her last name, is delighted to be living in France no longer. "It's much safer here than in France," she says.

If it seems like President Obama has been holding or traveling to some kind of summit meeting every 10 days or so in recent weeks, you're right. Camp David. NATO summit in Chicago. South America. This week's big-shot party is the G-20 in Los Cabos, Mexico. Besides talking a lot in closed meetings to no particular end, the various presidents also issue joint statements of great concern and manifestos that are little-read and quickly forgotten.

Even the locals are asking the question: About 6 months ago, I moved to Kentucky, about 30 miles away from Fort Knox. Nobody told me about the bombs. The first time I heard them, I was like DAMN! Being from Milwaukee, I sadly became accustomed to hearing gunshots. But bombs? Neva! I was told that hearing bombs around here is pretty normal. Most people who have lived here for many years, barely even notice them. Until now...

Is there anything to worry about if "Super" Typhoon Guchol with 150 MPH sustained winds lands a direct hit on the Fukushima nuclear power plant Wednesday? How about if it's merely a tropical storm with sustained winds of only 75 MPH? What if the 6.4 magnitude quake June 17th that hit less than 75 miles from Fukushima had been 75 miles closer to the crippled and vulnerable Reactor 4...

Once again the left-wing media edits a video to misrepresent what a Republican is saying in order to make him look the idiot. This time on June 18 at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, MSNBC and Andrea Mitchell edited the context right out of a video of what Romney said about eastern U.S. chain restaurant Wawa's in order to make it seem as if he was out of touch with reg'lr Americans.

Many of my liberal friends are angry and frustrated. Not at Obama but at me. From my vantage point it seems they go through life with blinders on because they simply don't want to see -- or be reminded of -- the president's missteps, failures, deceits and broken promises. Why is this so? Let me try to explain it.
