It's no secret that Krispy Kreme doughnuts have been a favorite treat of ours for decades. We felt we'd discovered heaven when we first bit into a Krispy Kreme doughnut decades ago during one of our many southern-bound road trips. Happily, you no longer have to journey

President Obama had an opponent in the West Virginia Democrat Primary and the fella did pretty well, too. Democrat Keith Judd was Obama's primary opponent for the Democrat nomination for President on Tuesday and he garnered 40% of the cote, too. I'd say that's pretty good for a convicted felon that is still serving time in a Texas jail, wouldn't you?

The overblown thwarting of a reported plan to blow up some airliner sometime somewhere with a possible new type of super-sneaky al Qaeda bomb illustrates the perilous problems and confusing complexities of life in an open society. These kinds of clandestine ops are, hopefully, going on all the time in places we can't pronounce....

In yet another extremely odd move, the Obama for America PA twitter account quoted @Dan_Mac_ yesterday. The tweet itself was inconsequential drivel that you would expect from the average Obama supporter. Apparently, however, the Obama campaign either did not bother to look through the accounts of people they are quoting, or support what this person said.

The press, the same people who in essence gave us Obama, are attempting to convince us that they are hard pressed now to understand why the man isn't more... transparent:
The vice president said he is “absolutely comfortable” with same-sex marriage, committing the classic Washington gaffe of accidentally speaking the truth. This bit of straight talk made Obama’s position — neither for nor against such unions but in an evolutionary state, not unlike the Galapagos finch — all the more untenable...

In addition to labeling conservatives and Republicans “anti-woman” (for opposing government-mandated free contraception), “anti-black” and “anti-Hispanic” (for advocating photo identification for voting), and “anti-science” (for skepticism regarding the belief that man-made carbon emissions will destroy much of the planet), Democrats now regularly label Republicans “anti-gay” (for opposing same-sex marriage).

Liberals love government spending. They don’t like using their own money on it, of course. They refuse to send in extra money to the IRS, always wanting Someone Else to be taxed higher. But, they love government spending. And the elections in Europe remind me of a Ben Franklin quote “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” Excitable Eugene Robinson would like to herald in that end

“…if a single mother raising her children in the ghetto has to worry about drive-by shootings, drug-deals, or whether her children will join gangs and die violently, her already difficult task becomes impossible. It doesn´t help matters when prime time TV has Murphy Brown – a character who supposedly epitomizes today´s intelligent, highly paid, professional woman – mocking the importance of fathers – by bearing a child alone, and calling it just another ´Lifestyle Choice´” — Dan Quayle

The current political crisis in Europe, and in America as well, is not at all hard to understand. Think of it like this: society is not infinitely malleable. If you pull a rubber band far enough it is either going to snap back or it will break.
Western democracies have worked very well for 60 years now. They have been remarkably prosperous; remarkably peaceful. They defeated the Communist challenge. In a sense they — and I include the United States here — are victim of this very success.

Are Native Americans still being oppressed? Are they a separate people from the rest of America? At what point in history do we let go and move on? A generation? 100 years? 200 years? A millennium? Never? To always hold grudges and claim victimhood for one's situation today due to what happened to one's ancestors, generations removed? And what of those Americans of "oppressed ancestry" who are currently experiencing great prosperity in today's America? Who have benefited because of the course America took- good and bad, just and unjust- in its formulation?

It was bound to happen! Former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen is so determined to stay on the straight and narrow that he took a second job. The second position is not for the money but to insure that he is not sitting around being idle. Remember folks, the idle brain is the devil's playground (Robert Preston as Harold Hill in the Music Man).
In an exclusive report from Newsbusted anchor Jodi Miller, we learn that Charlie got a government job, he will be a chaperone for the secret service when they leave the country. Sheen says he

According to the secular-left, anti-God forces, who for years have been trying to distort, bury and airbrush away any and all evidence of our rich Christian Heritage—our founding father were —simply put——too stupid to articulate what they really meant to say (you know, some real Beavis & Buttheads like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson). Thank goodness some Anti-God jackasses came along in 1947 and started translating for us, huh?
If you are detecting a hint of sarcasm/ skepticism on my part— DO NOT CHANGE THE CHANNEL–it’s because any intellectually-honest analysis proves these assertions to be nothing more than ill-informed, arrogant....

Sgt. Gary Stein was discharged from the Marines because he created a web page critical of President Obama. Despite the fact that I agree with Sgt. Stein’s political views, I think the Marines did the right thing. One of the things that makes our military great is the fact that it is a non-partisan institution. Sure, we know that individual service members have political views — often strong ones — but the military presents itself as assiduously non-partisan. Our American military, including the individual men and women serving within it, supports America as a whole, not specific parties within America.

It is interesting that the Obama White House, a place where everyone thinks a pre-born baby is just a lump of "unviable cells" and not really a person, is now insisting that pregnant mothers must register themselves and their unborn baby on the visitor log when they visit the White House.

NBC has created an entire phalanx of videos centered on environmental issues to show its fealty to the religion of greenism. There are celebrities, trite slogans, and all sorts of absurd promises on what going green can do for us all. But are these "solutions" really any good? Let's look at one of NBC's claims to see if it makes much sense, shall we?
