A Chinese dissident seeking asylum for himself and his family in America is feeling the rug being pulled out from under him by our President and Secretary of State. The outcome isn’t a mystery to anyone who knows American Liberals and Socialists.
The last time a Democratic administration had the chance to stand up to a brutal Communist regime and grant at least one of its citizens asylum, this happened:

Newt Gingrich, who'd vowed to stay in the Republican presidential contest right up to the national convention in late August, broke that promise too Tuesday. And at the end few cared.

In his new book, “Hard Measures” released earlier this week, former CIA counterterrorism chief Jose Rodriguez Rodriguez reveals that he personally briefed Nancy Pelosi in detail about the enhanced interrogation techniques, where the techniques being used to get information from al-Qaeda prisoner Abu Zubaida were described in detail.
“We explained that as a result of the techniques, Abu Zubaydah was compliant and providing good intelligence. We made crystal clear that authorized techniques, including waterboarding, had by then been used on Zubaydah.” Rodriguez writes that he told Pelosi everything, adding, “We held back nothing.”

That's the conclusion one easily comes to when they read something like this:

Insanity has many meanings but the one I like is about doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results!
The perfect example of this would be giving the government, any government, the authority to run some enterprise, any enterprise, and expecting it to be run well, efficiently, within budget and to produce a work product half as good as a company in the private sector could...

Britain’s socialized health care system is rationing care again. This time, it is denying patients access to the first new drug developed in half a century for treating lupus: "In final draft guidances issued by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence [NICE)… concluded that Benlysta (belimumab) could not be considered a cost-effective use of NHS resources for patients with active autoantibody positive systemic lupus."

Last week comedian Jon Lovitz appeared on a podcast to talk about his years on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The conversation, though, veered toward politics and to many left-wingers it veered too to the right! On the pocast, Mr. Lovitz went on a tirade about what he feels are the tax lies Obama is unleashing on America causing Lovitz’ fair weather fans to take to their Twitter accounts in merciless attack on the funnyman.

Democrats are scrambling to raise emotionally-laden issues this year in order to trick voters into supporting Obama’s reelection. Since they know they cannot win through an honest dialogue on the issues, they have resorted to appealing to people’s emotions in order to sway them. Democrats used race-baiting to create outrage over the Trayvon Martin shooting. They hope to make people feel guilty about the shooting, regardless of how farfetched their version of the incident is, so voters will choose to vote for Obama to assuage their consciences.

Highlighting what we’ve known for quite some time
(Washington Times) Trying to build their case that President Obama’s health care law will destroy traditional employer-sponsored insurance, House Republicans released a study Tuesday showing that the largest companies could save billions by kicking workers off their current health plans and pushing them into government-subsidized exchanges.

In 2008, Barack Obama was a human Hallmark card. He ran the most vapid, meaningless campaign in living memory. He ran on “Hope, “Change,” and “Unity,” and being the first black President, none of which hint at his agenda or why he’d be a good President. It was a campaign designed to appeal to imbeciles and 19 times out of 20, it probably would have failed. Fortunately for Obama, the outgoing Republican President had an approval rating of 25% and John McCain was about as inspirational as a soccer game played in a pool.

"No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people," Obama said Monday, addressing the American Medical Association. "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what." He didn't let up."If you like what you're getting, keep it," Obama said. "Nobody is forcing you to shift." Source

Bill Whittle over at Pajamas Media had a great piece in his Afterburner segment this week. Calling statistician William M. Briggs’ “The love of theory is the root of all evil” “The Best Sentence Ever”, Whittle discusses how the love of the theory of Communism caused the deaths of well over 100,000 million people during the 20th century. The crux of his piece is that liberals, living in their world of theory and planning have no clue how the world actually works.
Just such liberal fatuousness was on display in Saturday’s New York Times. The paper ran a 3,800 word piece

I finally got around to listening to some of the President’s shtick at the White House Correspondents dinner. His delivery wasn’t bad, in that he could easily have competed with the second or third string comic at one of the old Borscht Belt hotels. He wouldn’t have made the big time, but he could have kept them laughing in the small time. The assembled guests’ uproarious laughter was therefore disproportionate to the quality of his jokes. Others have commented on Obama’s joke about eating dogs and his nasty remark about Hillary drunk-calling him from Cartagena. These weren’t so much jokes

Every time I listen to Barack Obama describe how he repelled down a rope from a stealth helicopter on a dark Pakistani night and took down Osama Bin Laden I am reminded of the movie “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.”
Seldom has a story been more dishonestly spun than the one surrounding the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Dolphins smile, you know? Oh, and they have a bigger brain than a human, too. Ipso facto, they are the most intelligent creature on the earth, or something. How often do we hear the animal rights nuts make these statements? Well, now add downtrodden, bullied, and sad to the anthropomorphist’s list of the assumed traits of the most wondrous creature of the seas, won't you?
