This, though spoken in 2010, has just surfaced, and it's revealing: Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) took to the Senate floor today to draw attention to a video of a top EPA official saying the EPA’s “philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of oil and gas companies - just as the Romans crucified random citizens in areas they conquered to ensure obedience...

Produced by FreeMarketAmerica.Org, watching this video should be made mandatory for all Americans who have not yet been fully indoctrinated into liberal fantasy-world thinking! Mandatory because Americans need to understand that the socialist tendencies of the current administration must be stopped. That it's an imperative to keep those in power now from having the opportunity to finish the hatchet job on the American way of life they started by giving them a 2nd-term in office...

I am so lying in the caption of this post. Nevertheless, it’s precisely what I thought when I saw a story saying that Chinese activists, using a social network, were able to stop a shipment of hundreds of dogs destined for the cook pot:

“Facts are stubborn things.” You can lie about them and you can try to bury them, but they have a bad habit of revealing themselves. Sometimes, these revelations can take decades or even centuries, but sometimes — especially in a modern media age — those stubborn facts demand to be heard within days or weeks of the initial lies. And so it is with the lies the media told about George Zimmerman.

I was having a conversation recently with someone, someone who had been wounded by someone else. It wasn't a fun conversation and there was little I could say, or do, to heal the hurt. What I did blurt out at one point is that hurt people hurt people. It was in the context of my suggesting that forgiveness, though hardly easy, is certainly necessary. And I thought that seeing the person who had hurt the other as a hurt person themselves is a perspective that might more easily push open the door that leads to forgiveness. The irony is that

Just when you thought that there was no possible way you could be less impressed with Obama than you already were, he hits new lows on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon! The President of the United States appearing on late night television to slow-jam the news? He may be our best weapon for his own defeat in the 2012 election!

Only in America can you have a Hispanic guy get assaulted by a black guy, shoot him, and then have black guys assaulting random white people to get “revenge” for the Hispanic guy not being lynched without a trial. Well, I shouldn’t say only in America, because that sort of backwards behavior happens in other less civilized parts of the world fairly regularly. It shouldn’t be happening here though and the attitude of the left-wingers who hyped the story like it was sixties church burning and got pretty much every detail wrong in the beginning, always in a way that

According to the progressive argument, the mainstream media, and pseudo-conservatives such as David Frum and Jennifer Rubin, the Tea Party groups have radicalized the GOP moving them to extreme right wing positions. While everyone is concentrating on us tyrannical conservatives they have missed the real story. One by one members of the "Blue Dog" Democratic caucus have been disappearing from Congress According to Fox..the Democratic party is now ruled by unions and others in the far left:

TEACHERS DESERVE MORE $$$!!! So saith the various downtrodden members of Teachers Unions nationwide, all in service to Looking Out For The Little Guy!!…unless he happens to be an autistic 10 year old. The issue here isn’t the existence of sadists, bullies and monsters in various positions of responsibility. It’s the refusal of the NJ Teachers Union to get rid of the guilty “teachers.” One can only fantasize the reaction of NJ Governor Christie, longtime friend and admirer of the NJ Teachers Union...This one's going viral.

On April 20, Michael Mukasey appeared before the Republican Lawyers Association’s National Policy Conference and C-SPAN cameras were there to record his discussion of the conference theme: Restoring a Government of Laws: The Obama Administration v. The Constitution. Mukasey, the former Bush Administration Attorney General, headlined a half hour discussion -- which included a Q&A session -- and offered one of the more cogent explanations I’ve seen of why Obamacare is so wildly unconstitutional.

It’s time for a revival of interest in the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, one of the last American politicians with serious intellectual credentials as well. (Compare Moynihan to Obama to see how shallow and mythical are the latter's intellectual attainments.) Moynihan was one of the first people to try to deal with the lurch leftward of the liberal and Democratic streams that is now so dangerously dominant in America.

In conjunction with the US presidential political silly season really kicking-off in earnest, tomorrow the silly season surrounding the NFL Draft will come to an end! The Number 1 player to be picked tomorrow may not be much of a surprise, but jockeying for draft position for the rest of the players will finally be completed. In anticipation, here's a look back at history for how Number 1's in the past have worked out. US politics can be very similar to Number 1 Draft picks where some work out for the country while others, as in the current case, don't!

The BBC brings us the story of US army chaplain and Catholic priest Emil Kapaun who is being considered for the Medal of Honor and for sainthood by the Church: On 2 November 1950, Father Kapaun made the decision that led to his death. The Korean war chaplain was in the middle of a firefight, with the American forces overrun by Chinese soldiers outside a crossroads town called Unsan in North Korea...
