Hussein Solomon is a South African professor who is the leading expert on revolutionary Islamist terrorism in his own country and Africa generally. He has just finished a book, Global Jihad: The South African Front. Equally interesting, though, is the background to his work. In the book he explains why he is so intent on this subject. Solomon describes how he was affected by an August 1998 terrorist attack on Planet Hollywood in Cape Town in which two people were killed and others injured or crippled.

Every few weeks leftist supporters of Obamacare will float the "fact" that our founders passed the first "national healthcare law" claiming that this supports Obamacare. The truth is, though, the history they claim supports them doesn’t in any way prove that the founders would approve of mandates in general or Obamacare in particular.

Last Tuesday 4/10 began the first official week of the real Presidential campaign. With Rick Santorum’s announcement that he was suspending his campaign, the battle was finally joined, Republicans ended the circular firing squad of the GOP primary season and turned their attention to President Obama. It wasn’t any Republican effort that spoiled Obama’s week the injuries were self-inflicted. For Mitt Romney’ to win the election he needs to keep the attention on Barack Obama’s record as president. Obama strategy is to keep people from looking at his record, instead he intends to develop “fake issues” to deflect voter attention. According to a

As much as the central bankers and incumbent politicians desperately need us to believe that the globe is on the economic mend, the numbers don't lie! You can't turn on a business show these days without hearing pundits, analysts and politicians banter about the state of the global economy. Politicians and members of the media who are pulling for the party in office to stay in office will tell you that things are improving, while those on the outside trying to get in will tell you that they are not...

I’m sorry, maybe I am being judgemental. But did not anyone consider that using military symbols, flag semaphore, for a “peace” movement is more than the slightest bit ironic? Or is this an issue of co-option? And by using the symbols of the enemy, they are transformed? Someone, please, tell David Hasselhoff that his shirt looks silly. Yes, it is now time to Hassle the Hof.

This week, Allen West made me proud. He had the intestinal fortitude to call the Congressional Progressive Caucus Communists. If the red shoe fits… The cries from the Democrats can be heard far and wide – calling West irresponsible for calling patriots Communists. Just one small problem – the Congressional Progressive Caucus was founded in 1991 by Bernie Sanders, who is an avowed Socialist and a Congressman from Vermont; Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the radical Washington DC based “think tank,” Institute for Policy Studies (IPS).

After weeks of race-baiting with the Trayvon Martin case, the Democrats are at it again and this time they’re dipping their toes into Mommy Wars. Hillary Rosen, Democrat strategist, has let us all know again what she and the Left (especially faux feminists) think of stay-at-home moms. You don’t count. Rosen let out her venom on CNN against Ann Romney...The idea that stay-at-home moms are financially able to do so is a popular one on the Left. The Democrats would have you believe that only rich women can stay home. This is a lie. On the contrary, staying at home

Barack Obama is beating the drums for the Buffett rule, which would net about $4 billion per year, but it’s about growth.

"Expanding on his reasons to support the “Buffett Rule,” President Obama said it is “not just about fairness” but economic “growth” as well. (Watch in video above.)

“Now, this is not just about fairness. This is also about growth,” the president said in his weekly address. “It’s about being able to make the investments we need to strengthen our economy and create jobs. And it’s about whether we as a country are willing to pay for those investment."

I’ve been skeptical of climate change because (a) I think Al Gore’s an idiot; (b) the climate changers see everything in terms of climate change, which is nonsensical; (c) the Climate Gate emails indicated fraud and information suppression to advance the climate change narrative, suggesting that the actual facts do not advance that narrative; and (d) the manifest goal of those backing climate change is to transfer wealth from America to other nations and to downgrade the American standard of living. I therefore wholeheartedly believe blogs such as Watts Up With That? when they put up posts challenging the climate

The Titanic sunk 100 years ago this year. The great ship went down in international waters as a vessel of British registry. When it went down the United States was barely a presence on the international stage. Yet now, 100 years later, American Democrats imagine they have the duty and power to control what will happen at the final resting place of over 1,500 passengers.

Never Forget, Never Again! These are two true stories of the Holocaust. The first is a diary of life in a concentration camp that was smuggled out and only recently translated to English. The author, David Koker, did not make it out alive. The second is the story of the life of a survivor told by her son. He talks about her struggle to try and somehow forget and move on, yet never being able to.

I love having a spacious home, filled with cool things such as computers, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, televisions, etc. But I do recognize that the same things I love are shackles, and I work hard to minimize the number of links in the chain of possessions tying me down.
