Barack Obama is beating the drums for the Buffett rule, which would net about $4 billion per year, but it’s about growth.

"Expanding on his reasons to support the “Buffett Rule,” President Obama said it is “not just about fairness” but economic “growth” as well. (Watch in video above.)

“Now, this is not just about fairness. This is also about growth,” the president said in his weekly address. “It’s about being able to make the investments we need to strengthen our economy and create jobs. And it’s about whether we as a country are willing to pay for those investment."

I’ve been skeptical of climate change because (a) I think Al Gore’s an idiot; (b) the climate changers see everything in terms of climate change, which is nonsensical; (c) the Climate Gate emails indicated fraud and information suppression to advance the climate change narrative, suggesting that the actual facts do not advance that narrative; and (d) the manifest goal of those backing climate change is to transfer wealth from America to other nations and to downgrade the American standard of living. I therefore wholeheartedly believe blogs such as Watts Up With That? when they put up posts challenging the climate

The Titanic sunk 100 years ago this year. The great ship went down in international waters as a vessel of British registry. When it went down the United States was barely a presence on the international stage. Yet now, 100 years later, American Democrats imagine they have the duty and power to control what will happen at the final resting place of over 1,500 passengers.

Charles Lehardy speaks praise and gratitude to the past, something I think we should all be doing: Much of what we are and the opportunities we have had grew out of decisions made and actions taken by our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and on and on. I was born in America because several relatives chose to leave the countries of their birth and look here for a new start. I was raised with an appreciation for hard work because many of my relatives punched a time clock to earn a living. I had my introduction to Christianity through...

Of course this one has to do with the prostitution scandal surrounding his own Secret Service detail! Funny isn't it, or maybe ironic, that this President has never hesitated to rush to judgment before all of the facts are in before. He did it in conjunction with the arrest of his friend, Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, by white police officer Sgt. Jim Crowley in Cambridge Mass...

EVERY current or aspiring politician across the country, particularly in Washington, D.C. and more specifically in the White House and Congress, needs to watch this video! Never Forget, Never Again! These are two true stories of the Holocaust. The first is a diary of life in a concentration camp that was smuggled out and only recently translated to English. The author, David Koker, did not make it out alive. The second is the story of the life of a survivor told by her son. He talks about her struggle to try and somehow forget and move on, yet never being able to.

I am not a “stuff” person, by which I mean that I’m not someone who fills her home with art and charming doodads. Whatever is the opposite of artistic — well, that’s me. [snip) I’m never going to complain about affluence. I love having a spacious home, filled with cool things such as computers, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, televisions, etc. But I do recognize that the same things I love are shackles, and I work hard to minimize the number of links in the chain of possessions tying me down.

This past week Connecticut's legislature passed legislation outlawing the death penalty, and Governor Dannel Malloy said he would sign the bill. According the the legislators the bill does not apply to the 11 men now on death row, but I would imagine those 11 have a great case for appeal. The startling part of the legislation is the reason for its passage. As you will learn in this exclusive report by Newsbusted Anchor Jodi Miller,Connecticut killed the death penalty because of Obamacare.

Whatever side you are, or aren’t, on and whether you never think about these issues or are an impassioned activist, there are three fundamental issues about Israel, its enemies, and the Middle East that tie the narrative into knots. Each of these wrong ideas, of course, has a basis in fact. The following points might appear counter-intuitive. But I will demonstrate their accuracy. And you can’t understand events without grasping them.

The White Star Line commissioned three ships in it's gargantuan 'olympic' class to sail the seas - the 'Olympic, 'Titanic' and 'Britannic', respectively. The RMS Olympic was the first to be commissioned and first set sail from its Belfast, Ireland shipyard on 20 October 1910. It made its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York on 14 June 1911.

In February, 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder said that the United States was “a nation of cowards” on matters of race, and that most Americans avoid discussions of racial issues. Holder said, “Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards.”

Now John Derbyshire, after writing “The Talk: Nonblack Version at Taki’s Magazine, was fired from National Review for writing an article that Holder and Obama advocated. And National Review” has fired yet another contributor

When Barack Obama first won the White House, gun sales soared because supporters of the Constitution rightfully understood that Barack Obama is a gun-banner at heart. They feared he'd attack their Constitutional rights and begin a long trail of legislation or regulatory efforts to ban guns.

The real threat that the Ann Romneys of the world represent to the statist Left

The Left’s problem with Ann Romney transcends her husband’s wealth, her (and his) Republican identification, and her decision to work for her children, rather than for a paying employer. The Left’s problem with Ann Romney is that she represents the triumph of the individual. No wonder they hate her so much.
