The new Knicks coach, Mike Woodson, is putting the spotlight back onto Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire and taking it away from Jeremy Lin!
Can the NY Knicks put "Linsanity" back into the bottle now that the fans have seen what it can accomplish? They can try but the coach and team management will be on a very short leash with the fans...

If you don't think that Michelle Obama telling you what you can and cannot eat is not creepy enough, try her telling you that her husband is in love with you. In a new mass-email to supporters, Michelle Obama has declared her husband's undying love for their supporters.
The email, titled "I Love You Back," details an event where President Obama vowed his love for people that vote for him.

Yesterday, (NMP) Obama gave what was supposed to be an official POTUS speech on energy, and instead quickly morphed into a campaign speech where (NMP) Obama took shots at not only the GOP presidential candidates and elected Republicans, but at you and me, who think high gas prices are a Bad Idea, even going so far as to call people who want to “drill now” are “flat earthers.” Of course, he also screwed up his Rutherford B. Hayes talking points. Meanwhile, Obama seems to be missing Reality Land

Mayor Emanuel has not left Barack Obama. This is clear with his latest foray into national political issues by joining Obama's orchestrated "Republican war on women" lie that has been drummed up to take America's attention away from Obama's monumental failures as president. To help his old boss, Emanuel decided to pipe up about Rush Limbaugh's slut-gate comments, absurdly attempting to lay the controversy at Mitt Romney's feet.

As the reviled Global Warming Deniers and Skeptics look on with amazement, the Chicken Little fantasists of the Left shout Full Speed Ahead! over the cliff. Same with Universal Healthcare. Same with Open Borders. Not content with taking their own lives, surrendering their freedoms to Those Who Promise Everything, they must drag everyone else over the brink with them. So it always goes with those weak souls following the siren call of Big Brother, embalmed in the comforting platitudes of Orwell’s frightening Peaceful, Perfect future.

I think one of the deep nagging problems with this election cycle is how we are experiencing the demise of big-government intervention as we collectively realize there are no easy (or cheap) answers to be found in the mythical magic of government as our savior. Government has a role to play, but as been shown as human society transitioned through a series of violent historic evolutions, this role has been settling towards an optimum balance that we have yet to reach. We are closer, but we could drift off into the ditch easily.

If there is ever a CSI for birds, the wind farms and solar panel arrays will be in big trouble
Grassroots environmental groups, such as Save Western Ohio, are expressing serious concerns about the negative environmental impacts of wind power. The groups emphasize several worries:
According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, wind turbines in the United States annually kill 440,000 bird (Other analysts maintain the number is much larger because FWS compiles the killed count by counting the number of dead birds in the immediate vicinity of the turbines. Some birds, they argue, are mortally wounded but don’t die

Unfortunately, Progressive Marxists are quick to disrespect women, a habit that will come back to haunt them in a few months; since Obama, and other self-righteous Progressive Marxists find it perfectly acceptable to have a comedienne stand up and talk about Palin showing up at the Republican convention in this manner, “holding a baby that just came out of her f*cking disgusting c*nt, her f*cking retard-making c*nt.” Now some of us might take exception to the language; especially, since Obama seems to think that the mentally handicapped are fair game for humor. I suppose that is part of the Leftist

Economist, social critic, political commentator and author, Thomas Sowell is one of today's leading libertarian voices. A reformed Marxist, Sowell is a strong believer in limited government. He is currently a senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and his columns appear on places such as Institutional Investor, and Townhall.
John Hawkins of RightWingNews was able to sit Sowell down for an interview about economic facts and fallacies and the release of the updated version of his book, "Intellectuals and Society." Below are some highlights:

This video uses Silver Spring, Maryland as a case study in why the stimulus failed. First, the Keynesian economic theory upon which it is based is hopelessly flawed. Second, even if that were not true, the corruption of the Democrats who implement these policies is such that they never use the money the way it is meant to be used.

Who could possibly be against the VAWA? Well, when it was first passed in 1994, the American Civil Liberties Union was, saying “that the increased penalties were rash, the increased pretrial detention was “repugnant” to the US Constitution, the mandatory HIV testing of those only charged but not convicted is an infringement of a citizen’s right to privacy and the edict for automatic payment of full restitution was non-judicious.” And they were really unhappy with the DNA provision. It’s been reauthorized in 2000, 2006, and is now up for re-authorization again
