I have often maintained that threats to freedom of expression in this country come predominantly — probably exclusively — from the political left. The censoring of a pro-life student club in a Las Vegas high school is a recent egregious example.

Baltimore is now paying the price for irresponsible words and actions, not only by young thugs in the streets, but also by its mayor and the state prosecutor, both of whom threw the police to the wolves, in order to curry favor with local voters.

It’s very difficult to discuss racial issues in America because every conversation tends to devolve down into some hostile version of, “That’s racist” vs. “No, it’s not” — and nothing ever gets accomplished.

Yet again President Obama and that coterie of anti-American cretins he calls his administration deems conservatives to be more dangerous and worth "watching" than Islamic terrorists. The newest attack on Americans unleashed by Obama is the announcement that the politicized Department of "Justice" is now investigating "far-right" activity on Twitter and other social media

Big Guy advises the world - that remains blissfully unaware - that under his leadership "once again, the United States is the most respected country on earth." And tying for second place, for the third year in a row, was Iran - for their multiple advancements in human rights and nuclear arms control. (SNIP) Charles Krauthammer respectfully disagreed with Barry’s assessment, wondering simply...

I’m baaaack! Let me dive right in. The party of “Government, get out of my bedroom!” invades New York bedrooms When it comes to teenage sex and abortion, or just plain old sex and abortion, the Left’s rallying cry for decades has been clear: “Government, get out of the bedroom.” That’s why I find it incredibly amusing that Blue State New York is planning to join Blue State California and invade the bedroom of every college student under its aegis: (Read more.)

Thanks to an emergency order from Gov. Jerry Brown, today marks the beginning of water rationing across California — and that includes my own Marin County. The bill is a triumph of big government as far as I’m concerned because, here in Marin county, we have more than enough water. We will have to kill our gardens, bathe in puddles, wear less clean clothes, eat off of environmentally wasteful paper plates, and risk fines if we use too much water, despite having more than enough water. (And ye, I did exaggerate a little about the paper plates and dirty clothes,

Well finally - an explanation for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ salacious 1972 story about women fantasizing about rape: he was writing the prequel to 50 Shades of Grey. He called it a “poorly written” piece “of satire” about gender roles. Granted, 50 Shades is also a poorly written book about gender roles, butt make no mistake, it is not satire. Oh well, at least everything makes perfect sense now: unable to make it as a porn writer, Bernie turns to...

Wow, we are seriously screwed up as a nation. How quickly everyone has forgotten the massive terrorist attack on 9/11 that took almost 3,000 lives. It touched all of us. And the guys behind it were evil Islamists, plain and simple. The primary motive behind the protest by the people in Phoenix yesterday was to show that free speech still matters in this country and we won’t be cowed or stripped of our rights by thugs, who wear religion as a cloak of justification. However, you wouldn’t know that by watching the media. Even Fox News called it an anti-Muslim

We’ve seen it over and over again, as a movie cliché or a silly cartoon: The man is caught in flagrante with another women and, defensively, says to his wronged spouse, “Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?” It is the ultimate definition of cognitive dissonance. While cognitive dissonance can make for good humor, in the real world, there comes a point when the human brain can no longer tolerate the loud noise of that dissonance. At that point, people have two choices: embrace the crazy or go for reality. (Read more.)
